The Critical Carbon Computing Collective (4C) is a group of researchers, academics, activists, and artists working to contextualize and demystify the proliferation of technologically-oriented proposals for a just climate future. We build on members’ individual and collective research and expertise on how digital technologies can both enable and threaten environmentally just futures, and we translate this research for wider audiences in dialogue with practitioners, community groups, and policymakers.
